The most recently developed is the Plasma light bulb which is brilliant and quite noticeable. LEDs have their own advantages as well which you can learn more about on our website.

For Cadillac LED lights, there are a number of advantages starting with the clean, bright light produced by the headlights which is directed towards illuminating the road ahead while reducing glare for oncoming vehicles. LEDs also use a fraction of the power that standard incandescent lights use, which means your Cadillac’s electrical system is not nearly as taxed when running multiple systems at the same time. Finally, LEDs are shock resistant and highly durable, lasting up to 100,000 hours of continual use or more. This means that the LEDs you purchase for your Cadillac may be the last you buy for your vehicle.

Cadillac the motoring brand

One of the most recognizable and celebrated names in the automotive industry, Cadillac is the second oldest luxury automobile brand in America behind the GM Buick. For over a century, Cadillac has been mass producing luxury vehicles for customers around the world. Named after the founder of Detroit, Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac, the crest of this vehicle also based upon his coat of arms as well. It is a testament to the popularity, style and success of the Cadillac brand that the very name is now fully associated with this vehicle.

Master mechanic Henry Leland founded Cadillac in 1902 and became creating his first vehicle, the Osceola which was one of the first closed-body vehicles. Although limited in sales, the Osceola is generally credited with changing the course of automotive design. In addition, the fate of Cadillac changed course as well when it was purchased by General Motors in 1909. As the designated luxury division of GM, the first order of business was to take advantage of the assets that Cadillac possessed to upgrade their overall line. The initial result occurred in 1915 when Cadillac developed the first automobile in the US to sport a V8 engine.

By World War One, Cadillac was supplying the US Army with the Type 55 Touring Model which turned out to be quite a dependable vehicle thanks to exhaustive testing. After the war, Cadillac expanded their line of vehicles to emphasize the power of the V8 engine. In addition to the engine, Cadillac also introduced the first non-clashing Synchro-Mesh manual transmission in developing their vehicles, many of which were too fast for the roads at the time. Innovation, style, comfort and sheer power were the trademarks of the Cadillac brand for the years leading up to World War Two. For example, the introduction of shatter-resistant glass in 1926, the development of the V12 and V16 engines, all-steel roofs on passenger cars and more.

By World War Two, Cadillac has survived the Great Depression and was unifying their production lines to use the same basic engine and productions techniques in order to maximize efficiency and profits. The war itself helped Cadillac enter the field of military production which resulted in later years developing the M41 Walker Bulldog tank during the Korean War. After the war, Cadillac vehicles became even more popular, displaying the unique “tail fins” as well as adding chrome to the body of the vehicles as well. By 1949, Cadillac has sold its one millionth vehicle and the post-war era introduced the Cadillac DeVille and Fleetwood El Dorado series which became highly popular luxury cars.

The innovations and new styling accents continued through the 1960s as vertical taillights were introduced. The fact that many famous athletes and actors drove Cadillac model vehicles served as additional advertising for the line. Even the Oil Crisis of 1973 which had adversely affected the luxury car market was overcome by Cadillac with the introduction of the Seville, complete with electronic fuel injection which increased overall gas mileage.

Today, Cadillac is still producing excellent, highly respected luxury class vehicles such as the Escalade which incorporates everything expected from a Cadillac along with the latest automotive technology. It seems from the very beginning Cadillac has incorporated the goals of innovation and luxury flare into their vehicles which has remained at the forefront for over a century. It’s little wonder that Cadillac still retains its mark as one of the best luxury manufacturers in the world.
